Island Hopping on Three of Washington's San Juan Islands 2

Day 2 ~ July 24, 2016

Wow, what a wonderful day! We started our day with a wonderful breakfast at the hotel before boarding the bus for the Hibulb Cultural Center and natural history preserve which has over 23,000 square feet of exhibits and classrooms to tell the story of the "salmon people," the Tulalip Nation. The artifacts, carvings, art and interactive displays were very insightful and gave us a better understanding of the land and people. We learned that the Snohomish, Snoqualmie and Skykomish make up the Tulalip Nation. They the speak Lushootseed language.
